McLaren P1 – 20,8 Km percorsi ad una velocità media superiore a 178 Km/h, 150 curve, 300 metri di dislivelli, curve con accelerazioni di 2 g il tutto in meno di sette minuti. La McLaren P1 entra nell’esclusivo club delle vetture che hanno percorso l’inferno verde del Nurburgring in meno di 7 minuti.
L’esemplare di P1 color Supernova Silver, nome in codice XP2R, è stata guidata per 390 miglia da Woking in Inghilterra al Nurburgring. All’arrivo è stata impostata la modalità “Race”, estesa l’ala posteriore di 300 mm, abbassato (di 50 mm) e irrigidito l’assetto per “trasformarla” in una vettura da corsa a tutti gli effetti.
La McLaren P1 monta un motore V8 biturbo 3.8 litri da circa 730 cavalli che lavora in sinergia con un motore elettrico da circa 180 cavalli. Il tempo da 0 a 100 è di appena 2.8 secondi; i 300 km/h si raggiungono in 16,5 secondi.

From the outset, the McLaren P1™ has been developed with one clear goal: to be the best driver’s car on both road and track. To achieve this, the development programme has focussed on ensuring the McLaren P1™ pushes the boundaries in terms of sheer performance, with testing carried out in some of the harshest conditions around the world. But one challenge remained, and that was arguably the toughest of them all.
